Yarra Valley pinot noir has become an international phenomenon in the past 20 years. This producer, a fave of ours, has recognised this and has made this wine in a more ‘international’ style. So what does that mean? It’s silky smooth, a little fuller i fruit (think black cherries and strawberries) and buttressed with a hints of earthiness and cola. This isn’t sitting on the funky end of the pinot spectrum, but rather the elegant end. Easy drinking and ultimately enjoyable - something that appeals in every corner of the world.
