The gravel rich soils of the estatevineyards host Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot and a smaller portion of Cabernet Franc but the 2010 is composed of formidably structured Cabernet Sauvignon (62%) and Merlot (27%) with just 1% Cabernet Franc influence. The vintage has proven spectacular for Chateau La Mission Haut Brion - a wine of incredible architecture brooding intensity and formidable length; a wine to lose in a cellar for significant time.
