The steady hand and winemaking nous of Helene Garcin-Leveque is again apparent from this unique 6-hectare estate producing a meager 2 800 cases per year. The vines are situated in the east of Pomerol and adjacent to Chateau Clinet and considered a more continental than maritime influenced site. Thesplit in varieties is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc here - the wine imbued with dark brooding garrigue mocha and exotic spice with a volume of texture that works seductively in the palate. It's a wine that can be drunk (decant well!) in youth and will reward over 15 years.
