WINERY INFORMATION This is the third release of the DJ Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon This wine is dedicated to Don lsquo DJ rsquo Oliver the 5th generation and current caretaker of the prized Oliver rsquo s Taranga Vineyards Born in post-war McLaren Vale as a young boy after school Don would rid the family rsquo s Clydesdales bareback to the stables after helping out in the vineyards Dons impressive viticultural work saw him receive the inaugural McLaren Vale Grape Growers Association lsquo Excellence in Viticulture rsquo Trophy This wine is a testament to Don rsquo s passion for grape growing and his continual efforts to grow the best fruit possible TASTING NOTES Colour Rich deep burgundy Nose Rich varietal Cabernet notes- black currant cigar box earthy dark fruits tar and spice Palate Plenty of power on the palate lovely chewy tannin line through the core of the wine A delicious blackberry jam note melded with anise and an earthy intensity Delicious with your lamb roast nbsp
