This unique expression, which draws influence from the vibrancy of South Australian Shiraz, is red ochre in colour and a great balance of sweet and savoury on the palate.Austalian Shiraz casks have been individually selected and re-coopered to take advantage highly variable Melbourne climate. After being lightly toasted, the barrels are steamed, not charred, to retain the penetration of wine into the wood. You may discover a long tannic finish on this whisky, just as you would one of Australia’s award-winning wines.A WHISKY APPLEIngredients:45mL STARWARD Wine CaskOne large ice cubeFresh green apple juiceA green appleFresh mintMethod:Place a large block of ice into a chilled lowball.
