Cracka Review This wine lives up to the hype of previous and awarded vintages, maintaining its elegant and complex cool climate style. A vibrant nose of raspberries, cracked pepper, and violets with more red fruits and blackberries on the palate. Spicy notes with super soft tannins and a delicate boy make this Shiraz a beautifully balanced wine. The wine will cellar well for 10 years, but why wait when it’s this vibrant and juicy? Winemaker's Notes Situated in the heart of the cool climate Mount Benson region, the Norfolk Rise Vineyard is planted on 180 hectares of undulating coastal hills. Within 5 kilometres of the ocean at 37 degrees south of the equator, our vineyards are moderated by fresh ocean breezes. Grapes were selected from our best Mount Benson Estate Shiraz vineyards. A long ripening season allows for a soft and silky tannin structure. The wine was matured in a mix of neutral and new French oak barriques prior to bottling, to allow integration of the great complexity of flavours.
