WINERY INFORMATION Nanny Goat Vineyard is located in New Zealand rsquo s Central Otago wine region home to some amazing and multi-awarded vineyards The terroir of this area is unusual owing to its hot summers and bitterly cold winters Alan Peters-Oswald winemaker at Nanny Goat believes in thetraditional method of winemaking with a few winery prerogatives thrown in TASTING NOTES From the central Otago wine region comes this remarkable bold and dry red wine It is deep garnet in colour with bright purple shades highlighting the edges The wine opens with a punch of flavour that tapers off and leaves a spicy peppery note in the aftertaste Its character profile is full-bodied with tart acidity and hard tannins integrated in to the palate Its flavours include red berry chocolate and black currant characters The aroma is floral with a tinge of lavender Its more complex bouquet however includes aromas of spice black olives and dried herbs coupled with blackberry fruit and blackcurrant This magnificent wine goes well with steak lamb beef aged cheddar and mashed potatoes
