We often forget here in Australia about just how much sparkling wine that Alsace produces - it's alot! Sadly much of it is pretty average, which is why we were mighty happy that this is a winner. The push here is about freshness and energy, it's more white wine than a yeasty Champagne, but that's areal appeal - and coupled with proper acidity it all makes for a sparkling wine that is gentle and easy but not a sweet boring drink.
