WINERY INFORMATION Winemaking This wine is a blend of marsanne viognier and roussanne grapes The grapes were picked together whole bunch pressed cold stabilized and then barrel fermented After fermentation the wine remained in barrel on lees for 4 months The wine has not undergone malolacticfermentation so as to retain palate freshness The wine was racked and filtered prior to bottling nbsp TASTING NOTES The palate is full of fresh lemon and citrus notes fine tannins and tight bright acidity encase a complex and well balanced wine A full flavoured palate with sweet lingering flavours Harvest was completed in March 2013 It was a very good vintage with good yield and very good fruit quality Useful early spring rains providing beneficial subsoil moisture A subsequent dry period through to vintage meant that the vines were well balanced during vintage with no disease pressure nbsp Lifted citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit with honeysuckle and a slight hint of lemon grass nbsp nbsp
