WINERY INFORMATION The Juniper Estate winemaking team headed by winemaker Mark Messenger produces elegantly styled and flavoursome wines unique to the Margaret River region The estate was planted by Henry and Maureen Wright in 1973 and its winery as well as temperature controlled barrel room wee built in 1999 The company rsquo s cellar door is situated in Cowaramup Western Australia nbsp TASTING NOTES Crossing Cabernet Merlot is a fusion of 37 Merlot and 13 Cabernet Franc grapes with 50 Cabernet Sauvignon grapes The resulting blend displays a bright ruby red colour with light crimson hues Scintillating aromas of raspberry blackberry mulberry cherry and plum flow from its fragrant bouquet followed by nuances of chocolate vanilla and spice obtained from French oak This wonderful Cab Merlot is intense and succulent on the palate containing flavours of red and black berry fruits biscuity oak and cassis Supported by fine and chalky tannins this delightful red wine ends in a balanced and satisfying climax It has a cellaring potential of about 10 to 12 years tasting marvellous with foods like spiced venison with wild mushroom and truffle sauce or braised beef chuck nbsp nbsp
