WINERY INFORMATION Houghton Vineyards has proudly crafted Western Australian wines for almost 180 years Since its establishment in 1836 this winery has proven itself in the world of vintners and set itself apart from the rest Their critical scrutiny and tenacious application to achieve full flavured overall balance for their varietal wines has earned them more than 200 awards and show trophies as well as about 3700 medals from various wine shows competitions and festivals thus making Houghton Western Australia rsquo s most awarded winery TASTING NOTES Formerly named Houghton White Burgundy this dry white wine has a prominent and rich history The wine rsquo s colour is pale straw with a slight tinge of green made from a blend of aromatic white grape varieties Its bouquet is crisp and refreshingly citrusy with the light bodied palate leading to a relatively dry finish Suggested food accompaniments include prosciutto melon cheese chicken and turkey breasts chili prawn linguine and spaghetti with clams
