WINERY INFORMATION Director of Winemaking Peter Dillon learned different aspects of large-scale winemaking operations while working at Accolade Wines Peter also worked as Senior Winemaker at Larry Cherubino Wines before joining Handpicked Wines With tremendous experience in technical skills and anagement he ensures that this award winning brand offers a wide array of wine styles and varietals TASTING NOTES The grapes used to produce this beautiful Collection Chardonnay were harvested and whole bunch pressed into barrels The juice obtained was matured in a combination of old and new French oak barriques This process led to the creation of a pale straw coloured wine flaunting a light green rim The attractive bouquet exudes pleasing aromas of citrus spiced pear and crunchy green apple all of which are complemented by nutty oak and barrel ferment undertones The palate is medium bodied brimming with juicy flavours of pear and sweet apple These wonderful characters are supported by spicy oak notes and taut acidity culminating the wine in a crisp and captivating finale This elegant Chardonnay from Handpicked Wines tastes amazing with Moreton Bay bugs pan fried whiting and seafood marinara pasta
