The Russian River Valley produces some of California's finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with the notoriously foggy afternoons and chilly breeze helping to deliver wines that are spine-tinglingly fresh and vital. You wouldn't guess on first glance that this Chardonnay comes from a cold spot though -it's a powerhouse wine. A white big on peachy, nougat flavours and with the sort of weight you just don't see anymore. Robert Parker explains it even better: 'Scented of lemon curd, nectarines and golden delicious apples with a buttered toast and nutmeg undercurrent, the 2015 Chardonnay Reserve offers a great intensity of toast and cream laced stone fruit flavors, with a silky texture and lovely freshness, finishing long.'
