WINERY INFORMATION Located on Blicks Road in Renwick Marlborough Forrest Estate Wines produces an outstanding series of full flavoured wines crafted using hands-on winemaking methods After enjoying successful careers as medical doctors owners Brigid and John Forrest decided to create their ownwines starting the company in 1988 Winegrowing Manager Beth Forrest completed her Masters in Oenology from Adelaide University before joining the family wine business in 2015 nbsp TASTING NOTES The premium fruit parcels used to produce Forrest Pinot Gris were handpicked whole bunch pressed and cold settled The juice was cool fermented before blending This process led to the creation of a pale straw hued wine The attractive bouquet emanates nashi pear and orange blossom scents with light hints of cinnamon honeysuckle and ripe stone fruit evident in the backdrop Delicate flavours of apple citrus spice and star anise combine with exotic peach honeysuckle Asian pear and orange blossom notes to present a rich and soft palate These beautiful elements are balanced by natural fruit sweetness to offer an oily texture This tempting Pinot Gris ends in a crisp fresh and lingering finish It tastes wonderful with pumpkin soup creamy mushrooms on toast and pan fried salmon
