WINERY INFORMATION Finniss River vineyard is a family owned vineyard It is located 75kms south of Adelaide in South Australia s Currency Creek wine region The first vines of Finniss River vineyard were planted in 1999 Finniss River wines have been receiving national and international awards fortheir excellent varietals of Shiraz Chardonnay Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir TASTING NOTES The fruit for Finniss River Pinot Noir was kept on skins for 10 days that gave this wine a beautiful deep crimson colour with brick red hues Made with minimal intervention the wine s diverse bouquet exudes unfiltered herbaceous aromas fragrances of tomato leaf and capsicum and hints of black pepper and aniseed A fruit driven wine the palate is balanced and well rounded Flavours of dark cherries and minced fruits are complemented by light tannins providing a beautiful length of finish Tasting best when enjoyed young the wine also holds a cellaring potential of 3 years It pairs extremely well with beef veal or poultry dishes
