Fattoria Svetoni has quite the lofty history. Pietro Leopoldo, Grand Duke of Tuscany, spent years building the property. He originally named it ‘Leopoldina’ cuz I guess that’s what you did back then. Wine production began all the way back in 1865 and once the winery changed hands it was renamed Fattoria Svetoni. They grow primarily prugnolo gentile, a variety of sangiovese, and produce several wines from the grape.
