WINERY INFORMATION Owned and managed by the Ashmead family Elderton Wines is an Australian winery located in Nuriootpa Barossa Valley Established in 1979 by Neil and Lorraine Ashmead this winery aims to produce world class wines from different grape varieties grown in Barossa Valley TASTING NTES The 2015 Elderton Estate Family Vineyards Chardonnay is a pale straw coloured wine containing 14 of alcohol This vintage Chardonnay exudes aromas of white peach and vanillin oak from the lifted bouquet while the palate is fresh and juicy with flavours of stone fruits These flavours intermix with the underlying mineral acidity and subtle notes of creamy oak to culminate in a crisp and lingering finale Pair this elegant wine with roasted chicken and smoked salmon to unlock its full flavour potential This white wine develops strong fruit characters with a cellaring term of 6 years from vintage
