WINERY INFORMATION After the founder of d rsquo Arenberg Joseph Osborn died in 1921 his son Frank inherited the company In the early years of the business the grapes grown were sold to other wineries The estate rsquo s own winery was built in 1927 The brand initially only produced fortified wnes for exporting to England TASTING NOTES The Lucky Lizard Chardonnay showcases a pale straw colour with green hues The attractive bouquet exhibits mesmerising scents of pineapple honeysuckle pear drop and raw cashew with hints of sea spray lurking in the background The taut palate contains savoury flavours of sorbet lemon butter spice cold stone and preserved lemon These beautiful characters are balanced by fresh acidity ending the wine in a refreshing finish reminiscent of beeswax This alluring Chardonnay can be enjoyed in its youth or be cellared for a few years Suggested food pairings for this wonderful white wine include grilled chicken pheasant and passionfruit souffl eacute with pouring cream
