This is the most widely planted of Sicily's indigenous reds and Cusumano's is grown near the heart of the island. It is on the easy drinking side of the spectrum of Nero d'Avola production as a fruit driven offering with light spice and creaminess on the finish. Its unmistakable personality is a comination of black cherry and strawberry preserves and juniper berries on the nose.
