WINERY INFORMATION In 2007 the original owners who established Cumulus Estate Wines in the early 80s were joined by the Berardo family from Portugal The family currently owns the majority of the estate When they came onboard they brought with them valuable winemaking experience and knowledge tht further elevated the reputation of Cumulus Senior Winemaker Debbie Lauritz a cool climate specialist who works closely with the estate rsquo s viticulturists further solidifies the prestige of Cumulus Estate Wines TASTING NOTES The Climbing Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from grapes harvested from the estate rsquo s best Cabernet blocks in the Orange region It has an alcohol content of 13 and appears as a rich red liquid with a purple rim Earthy aromas of cassis black currant tobacco and a hint of cool climate leafiness fill the bouquet and entice the drinker The palate features typical Cabernet characters such as tobacco leaf and dark berry fruits This medium-bodied wine has an elegant structure enhanced by hints of oak and firm tannins that give it a persistent finish This wine is the perfect match to lamb cutlets steak or a rich and full-flavoured casserole nbsp
