Chardonnay – Black Market Deal #5

This is top-notch chardy, well worthy of ageing. It has only benefited from the six years it’s been quietly maturing in the cellar. Now it smells better than a Parisian patisserie. Sweet pastry, buttery brioche, lemon crd and yellow peach on the nose. The palate doesn’t disappoint either, with all of the above, with some gorgeously nutty complexity and a sweet tinge of vanilla. There’s still plenty of acidity to keep things fresh, and it’s looking in very fine form right now.
