This is the exclusive bottling (and indeed packaged in a uniquely designed bottle) of Peby Guisez's Chateau Faugeres line-and-length St-Emillion red. The 20 hectares of vines are planted to Merlot Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon but the 2010 is 100% Merlot and sourced from the oldest plots o vines. Very low yielding the vines produce fruit of deep dark concentration with winemaker influence that polishes the wine to modern and shiny - a sleek wine that can be enjoyed earlier for its velvet plushness or will cellar well for several decades.
