Chateau Beau-Sejour Becot has waxed and waned in popularity alongside its up-and-down classification status which has seen the estate lose its 1er Grand Cru status to have it returned some years later with a 1er Grand Cru Classe 'B' rating it now enjoys. The 20-or-so hectares of vines are located o limestone and predominately planted to Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon in lesser quantity. This St-Emillion wine is helped by the consultant winemaker Michel Rolland and appears typically as rich full-flavoured generous and lashed with the complexing subtleties of new oak.
