The Borgo Saletta is a true expression of the whole estate, encompassing a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) Cabernet Franc (20%) and Merlot (10%) from all vineyard sites. The focus is on fine tannins in order to provide more immediate drinkabilit. The wine is aged for just under a year in oak barrels that have already seen 1-2 years of use for Saletta, which contributes complexity without the greater definition of new oak.Earlier vintages can benefit from a 5-10 year cellaring cycle but can also be enjoyed earlier.
