WINERY INFORMATION Founders Michael and Andrew Nugent came across an old dairy farm in Adelaide Hills which was earlier the site of a gold mine They established Bird in Hand on this property in 1997 The winemaking team is currently led by Chief Winemaker Kym Milne who joined the company in 2003 Kym also holds the position of Chairman of Judges at the Sydney International Wine Competition nbsp TASTING NOTES Nest Egg Joy Sparkling was crafted using lsquo methode champenoise rsquo The juice was fermented and aged on lees to create a medium yellow hued wine The perfumed nose flaunts scintillating aromas of cherry and strawberry coupled with nougat butterscotch and sliced apple hints A sip of the wine offers strawberry blood orange cream biscuit and freshly baked bread flavours These beautiful characters culminate the wine in a long and persistent finale Drink this tempting white wine from Bird in Hand with caviar smoked salmon and potato chips nbsp
