This is a very fruit-driven style of bubbles, made in the traditional method (bottle-fermented and brut, or dry). While technically dry, it packs so much fruit flavour (orange peel, stonefruits, strawberry, lemon zest) that it walks the line, with some toasty brioche character, persistent bead and god acid backbone bringing balance to the party. Speaking of parties, this is the perfect wine for such occasions, because it’s fun when you don’t want to think too hard about it, but serious when you want it noted that you went a step up from the bubbly partygoers. Because while we can’t mention the brand, rest assured that it’s up there with the best known in the country.
