Pale bright cherry red; aromas are closed at the start indicating this wine enjoys time to build in the glass. With some air it starts to open up; displaying a cool spicy edge wrapped around crushed ripe strawberry spice. Where this wine really comes into play is on the palate where its spicy ede and round and structured line builds weight from end to end. The finish is long focused and practically begs for some five spice duck or game. This Pinot will really come into its own with food.
