Romania’s most famous indigenous variety who’s name translates to the Black Maiden has traditionally been blended with modern varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. As Romania’s resurgence in it’s agriculture and heritage the variety has recently found an audienc both domestically and abroad. Characterized by blackberries plums and berry fruit good acidity and fine tannins it makes a good and versatile food wine.
