WINERY INFORMATION McHenry Hohnen Vintners was established in the year 2004 by David Hohnen third-generation biological farmer and Margaret River winemaker along with wine retailer and grape grower Murray McHenry Nurtured by the knowledge of 3 generations of winemakers and vignerons the companyfocusses on biological farming and single vineyard wines They hence have a purists approach to viticulture and winemaking TASTING NOTES The fruit used to produce Burnside Vineyard Chardonnay was hand harvested and then the whole bunch pressed The juice was then transferred to barrels for fermentation using indigenous yeast Post-maturation in a combination of new and old French oak the wine flaunts a pale straw colour with a bright green rim The attractive bouquet exudes beautiful scents of peach flesh and ripe loquat accompanied by suggestions of light brioche dough and fresh pineapple The textured palate is layered with ripe peach and cr egrave me caramel flavours coupled with natural ferment undertones and persistent mineral acidity This alluring Chardonnay ends in an elegant and powerful finish Drink this beautiful white wine with BBQ roasted salmon fillet with coriander and lime pistou nbsp
