This certified organic chardonnay is from a boutique producer in Victoria’s massive Gippsland region. It’s a place that people are gettingexcited about for both chardonnay and pinot noir, and when you try this wine, you’ll know why. This chardonnay is a bit of a crossover hit - country and western - with enough weight and texture for the full-flavour lovers, but also enough acid for the chablis fans. It’s in a lovely drinking window and there is a leesy element after a few months spent in old french barrels, which have also added to the texture. Look out for stone fruits, a touch of jasmine and a citric finish on this wonderful wine.
