Cabernet from the Barossa...it’s not the spotlight grabber that the shiraz is, but it’s damn good. This one comes from a family that’s been in the region for generations. It’s ripe and fragrant with plum, cassis and almond on the nose. Earthiness, tobacco leaf and spice cme to the party as well on the palate. The tannins are chalky and there’s another decade of prime drinking left in this one. Who needs shiraz when you can drink cab like this?
