Bendigo has a long, illustrious history with cabernet. The region gets a bit more attention for its shiraz these days, but that’s simply a matter of the wine market demand. Cab sav is the original, and in my opinion, best red from the area. This one has aged beautifully for eight yers, allowing it to soften into a medium-bodied and graceful wine. The oak has slipped into the background, leaving some juicy cassis and herbal characteristics to carry the load.
