This one is a bit near and dear to us. The producer, one of our all time faves out of Margaret River, made this wine in honour of the matriarch of the family. They lovingly cellared it for a decade, releasing small amounts here and there as it gracefully aged. At ten years old, it’s preciselyin its prime, toeing the line between primary fruit and secondary savouriness. Having said that, there’s at least another decade of life left in the bottle. Softened yet structured, vibrant yet relaxed, this wine of great sentiment is a masterclass in balance. Make sure you enjoy it with the ones you love, just as the producer intended.
