This stunning single vineyard Margs cabernet has all the hallmarks of the variety that grows so well in the region. At six years old, it is also nicely softened by age, with a touch of oak still apparent. Blue fruit and cedar, sage and oregano lead the aromas. The wine has the expected wonderful strcture and is in the start of a great drinking window. A touch of spice, medium to full, lovely drying tannins that carry the juiciness along the palate. If you’re keen on a noble red, from the super premium region that Mr Halliday himself gave 95 glowing points, this is the wine for you.
