The label describes how the winery’s founder was rescued from a particularly ruthless property shark by a banker, whose support he never forgot. This range is named for that banker, and it’s a damn delicious tribute. You’ll recognise the style instantly if you’re at all familiar with the wines. Plump, juicy red and black fruits, with a well-judged oak backbone counterbalance signature Coonawarra herbaceousness.
