WINERY INFORMATION Willow Bridge Estate is a multi-awarded family-owned 60-hectare estate headed by Jeff Dewar whose ethos of the wine culture is a firm belief that wines are made in the vineyard thus compelling the whole wine staff to work closely with the vineyard Their annual crush is estimaed at about 450 tonnes thus far producing 18 000 cases each year Kim Norton Chief Winemaker at Willow Bridge shows his true passion for winemaking by crafting rich and elegant wine varietals and blends TASTING NOTES It is a pale straw in colour and has primary aromas of lemon pith almond meal and sweet green apples It shows attractive fruit flavours of lemon citrus spirit grilled nuts baked bread and dried fig extracted from ageing on yeast lees The front palate is more lemon-like tasting of subtle pear and white-fleshed nectarine leading on to the creamy mid-palate which consists of mineral flintiness On the whole the palate rsquo s core of fresh fruit is balanced by a yeasty combination ending on a lively finish of cleansing apple-like acidity This excellent food wine goes well with shellfish caviar and smoked salmon prawns served with butter sauce cheese and salty foods nbsp
