Winemaking A blend of fortified Hunter Valley verdelho from various vintages from 1994 to 2008 The wines used in this blend were fortified using nine-year old brandy spirit and then left to mature in older French oak barriques until blending TASTING NOTES After gentle fining and filtration te wine has an attractive amber and green colour The wine shows all the complexity of an aged sweet white slightly toasted and honey notes with a slight nutty lift The palate is moderately sweet with caramel butterscotch and roast almond flavours
