Twin Valleys...King and Alpine. Twin grapes...sangiovese and barbera? Well not exactly, but they do go quite well together. You’ve got the tannin and structure of the Tuscan sangio paired with the roundness and fruit of the Piemontese barbera. Western Italy and Northern Italy blended together intoone delicious wine. It’s medium-bodied, a little spicy and herbal, and certainly an easy drink. Maybe the Italians wouldn’t naturally blend these two varieties, but that innovative Aussie spirit has prevailed. And we’re quite thankful for that!
