The Contrarian Shiraz

$42.00

'From a vineyard in Moculta, and this year, no whole bunch he says. And yet, it still bears a family resemblance. Aromatic herbs like thyme and lavender - lovely perfume – iron, black and blue fruit. Medium bodied, not bunchy, but shows the family traits of firmness, minerality and a little asterity, though the fruit is there. And excellent. Dry powdery finish sprinkled with herbs. Poise and sophistication and so good to drink. If you were to buy only one of the Head Shiraz wines, this would be my recommendation.' - 95/100. - Gary Walsh, www.winefront.com.au
