WINERY INFORMATION Located on Paringa Road in Red Hill South Victoria Terra Felix is a reputed wine company established in 2001 The name of the company was derived from the Latin word terra felix meaning lsquo lucky earth rsquo Proprietor Peter Simon has been a shareholder of the company sine 2003 In 2005 he along with his two other partners acquired the ownership of the company nbsp TASTING NOTES The luscious grapes used to create Terra Felix Vitae Merlot were harvested and fermented The wine obtained was pressed off skins and then transferred into a tank A small portion of the wine was treated with oak Post maturation in French oak for 3 months the resulting wine showcases a deep purple colour with red highlights along the edges The attractive bouquet offers enticing aromas of plums violets and black cherries The medium-bodied Merlot presents vibrant flavours of red berries and dried rosemary supported by light mocha nuances and fine tannins These mouth-watering characters combine to end the wine in a fresh and long finish This delightful red wine has the potential to be cellared for 3 years from vintage Pair it with Spaghetti Bolognese or fillet steak with scalloped potatoes to cherish its grand fruit flavours nbsp
