Shelmerdine Lusatia Park Chardonnay

$24.00

“I think this is looking very Chablis-esque and very fresh after eight years, and it’s really kicking some goals,€ says Karel to the team at the Tasting Bench. “Stephen Shelmerdine has to be one of the nicest guys in the Australian wine industry, while Lusatia Park is one of the most prized vineyards in the Yarra, and where Phi comes from - a collaboration between Shelmerdine and deBortoli. This is really cool stuff, and doesn’t look like an eight year old chardonnay at all - it’s looking lovely, light gold, little bit of green. Quite herbal, not very developed. One of the benefits of screwcap, for sure. Still has plenty of years ahead of it, too.”
