WINERY INFORMATION Shedley is nestled in Bridgetown Blackwood Valley in Western Australia The area is located around Blackwood River which enjoys dry summers rainy winter months and moderate temperatures throughout the year The 3-hectare vineyard is divided into two blocks Dalmore which sitson reddish and yellowish clay soils and Main Block which sits on top of gravelly sandy loam that rests on clay loam The winery first produced commercial red wines in 1992 TASTING NOTES Every sip of this dry red wine gives you the essence of what Cabernet Sauvignon from Blackwood Valley should taste like Showing a deep red colour the nose features leafy red currant and mint aromas with a whiff of oak This Cabernet Sauvignon is medium-bodied and has fine and powdery tannins that complement the appealing fruit flavours and hints of vanilla oak Cellar for 5 more years and be pleasantly surprised Serve with broccoli or Brussel sprouts to balance the bitterness in these vegetables This wine is also a wonderful accompaniment to prosciutto ham cheddar cheese and Parmigiano-Reggiano
