WINERY INFORMATION Located on the rolling hills at the southern end of Clare Valley South Australia the Schobers vineyard was first planted in 1977 Wine retailer Jim Murphy and Canberra lawyer Michael Phelps acquired the estate from Constellation Wines Australia in the year 2009 The flavoursomeand elegant Schobers wines are crafted by accomplished winemakers David O rsquo Leary and Nick Walker in their winery located adjacent to the vineyard TASTING NOTES Aged in American oak barriques for 18 months this dazzling Needle In A Haystack Shiraz features a deep red colour and crimson hues This wonderful Shiraz exhibits fruity aromas of plums berries and mint from its scintillating nose These fragrances couple with toasty vanillin oak undertones on the soft palate to culminate in a long and firm finale This full-bodied red wine has been crafted to relish upon release but can also be cellared for about 7 years tasting great with olives roasted vegetables with bold sauces and parmesan cheese nbsp
