WINERY INFORMATION Rutherglen Estates is a reputed winery located on Corner Murray Valley Highway Great Northern Road in Rutherglen Victoria A group of wine professionals started this company in 1996 who were looking for a suitable place for crafting premium regional wines They teamed up with th leading vineyard development group in the region - RE Vineyards Management to plant their first grapevines in 1997 Built in 2001 the winery produces nearly 2000 tonnes of grapes every year nbsp TASTING NOTES Shelley rsquo s Block is an exquisite blend of 42 Viognier and 10 Roussanne grapes with 48 Marsanne grapes It flaunts a bright straw colour with a watery hue A whiff of the wine presents yellow stone fruit walnut and cinnamon aromas The soft and round palate is filled with intense flavours of stone fruit fresh citrus lemon butter and tropical fruits balanced by hints of honeysuckle floral and oak spices These great characters fuse together and culminate the wine in a rich and textured finale Crafted to be enjoyed fresh and young this magnificent white blend can also be relished after a cellaring term of 2 years Drink it with Chinese cabbage sticky pork and cashew stir-fry or Caesar salad topped with shredded smoked chicken to unveil its real flavours nbsp
