WINERY INFORMATION Lois and Rolfe Mills established Rippon Vineyard with the aim to produce the best quality wines that truly reflect the vibrant characteristics of their property as well as the region The couple planted their first block of vines in 1982 releasing their first commercial vintage n the year 1989 The team of winegrowers at Rippon pays special attention to the soil in order to nurture healthy vines by following biodynamic farming practices nbsp TASTING NOTES Rippon Mature Vine Riesling shows a pale yellow colour with green highlights along the rim The attractive bouquet gives off citrus aromas of lime and lemon coupled with hints of flowers nougat and wet rock characters These fragrances give way to a sharp and textured palate containing flavours of lime juice balanced by a zesty mineral acidity to end in a clean and lingering finale This delightful Riesling has the potential to be cellared for 5 to 10 years and can also be opened fresh and young It tastes amazing with food items like lamb veal venison or pork nbsp
