This is another rich, full-bodied, musclebound red from Reilly's that has seen some generous oak. The nose is very concentrated with super-ripe smells of blackberries, cherries and dark plums, along with mocha and star anise spice. The palate is full-bodied (15.5% alcohol) and plush, with jammy plumand dark berry flavours, licks of fruitcake and mocha oak, surprisingly mellow tannins, and a spiced prune finish that gives the throat a warm cuddle on the way down.
