Lindeman’s Coonawarra Pyrus is a Bordeaux-style blend sourced from the centre of Coonawarra's Terra Rossa strip, including the century old Nursery Vineyard, one of the oldest in Coonawarra. Its backbone is old vine Coonawarra Cabernet, up to 80%, fleshed out by smaller proportions Merlot, Malec and/or Cabernet Franc. This is a medium to full bodied wine with seamless and succulent black fruit that rolls across the palate from start to finish. ‘An 82/12/6% blend. There are striking aromas of rolled tobacco and spice underpinning a wealth of cassis and plum; the tannins are exemplary, firm but not aggressive, and the French oak is likewise balanced.’ – 95 Points Gold James Halliday | Published 06 October 2016
