It’s the creation of Adrianna Catena, youngest daughter of Nicolas Catena (founder of Catena Zapata) and Alejandro Vigil, the chief winemaker of Catena Zapata. The pedigree doesn’t get much better than that. Their focus on cabernet frnc has been at the forefront of the modern Mendoza wine movement, as has their single site approach that is modelled after the practices of Burgundy and other Old World regions.
