Port Charlotte 10YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky

$115.00

This 10 Year Old Port Charlotte has been conceived, distilled, matured and bottled on Islay alone. This heavily peated Islay single Malt Scotch Whisky has a Barbeque Smokiness, rich and spicy with Sweet Malty Notes. The nose has a smoke that is dry, earthy and peat ash in style which allows the oak o come forward with waves of golden caramel, fudge, vanilla custard, hints of ginger, nutmeg and clove. Citrus fruit can be coaxed with a drop of water allowing a waft of lemon meringue, clementine, wild thyme, heather and sea pink from the Atlantic. The palate is delicate and soft in texture and style with sweetness drawn from oak, coconut, vanilla custard, lemon honey and smoked oyster. The finish is sublime, smoky and soft with fudge, malted barley, orange, mango and banoffee pie. Many layers change with each sip. The smoke comes and goes with ripe apple, apricot, malt and oak sweetness - typical of Port Charlotte style dry smoke.
