Pio Cesare is a historical yet forward looking winery from the Piedmonte region in northern Italy. Headed by fourth generation proprietor Pio Boffa Pio Cesare's wines from the foothills of Langhe encapsulate all that is truly great about Piedmontese wines. This Dolcetto is sourced from estate vineards in the home sub-region of Alba and displays fruit that is forward with radiant red and black cherry fruit alongside lovely aromatics includingcinnamon spice. The wine is medium bodied with balanced fine grained tannins and is a terrific example of modern Dolcetto.
